About Us

FAQs

Is there a dress code?
There is no dress code at South Side Baptist Church; our desire is that you would feel welcome and comfortable on your visit here. However, all our ministry leaders and most of our church family dress in traditional "Sunday" dress (e.g. coat and tie - men; skirts or dresses - women).

Where do I take my children?
Children up to age three are cared for in our nursery during every service. The nursery is located in the foyer of the center building. Children three years through sixth grade attend their appropriate Sunday School classes at 10 am followed by children's church at 11 am. These classes are also located in the middle building. During all evening services families worship together.

Do men and woman have separate Sunday school classes?
No, our adult classes are designed to minister to men and women together.
What version of the Bible do we use?
We believe that God preserved His Word for English speaking people in the King James Bible. We use the KJV exclusively.

Am I expected to participate in the offering?
No. We don't invite you to South Side Baptist Church for your offering. We want our service to be a gift to you. We hope you will find in this place a warm family spirit, truth from God's Word, and a place where you can grow in God's grace. Please don't feel any obligation to participate in the offering as a guest.

What style music is used during services?
Our music is considered traditional. We sing as a congregation from hymn books and strive to sing songs rich in biblical doctrine, set to God honoring music.

How long is the service?
Our worship services are typically 60-75 minutes.
